Sadie Porter Positive Achievers Program
The focus of this mentoring program is to provide positive role models to participants. It is important that youth have someone to interact with who can be objective without being overly judgmental. Many of the participants are knowledgeable about gangs, drugs, crime and incarceration. The program offers before and after school activities that help to promote self-esteem, educational and vocational awareness, teaches how to interact with other ethnic groups and how to begin to plan for the future.
